Rock Installation – Process
Here is a process shot of some rocks lined up for an installation. These rocks are ground flat and then sandblasted; which creates a satin finish to enhance each form.

Almost all of our pieces undergo a process we call sandblasting. Sandblasting glass gives a satin finish to the glass which makes it appear soft and accentuates its curvature.

Jeffries Glass was honored to install this cool tone Intersection Series in Long Beach, Ca. Each piece in the Intersection Series is blown and pulled into long tubes and then further cut to size and sandblasted. Sandblasting glass is a beautiful technique that we often do in each of our series.
